Case Study: Mark

Sep 13, 2022 | Case Study

Intro

Mark Chyba, IT director and mid-level leader, was met with unexpected organic growth within his company and quickly realized that the way they were operating was inefficient. They were not utilizing teamwork and it was hindering their success as a team.

Challenge

Mark’s team was operating without cohesion, defined goals, and the ability to harness different personalities on the team which led to a lot of inefficient collaboration and no real goals being accomplished. Through Mark’s individual coaching, his eyes were opened to how his personality and direct communication style could be properly utilized as an asset to the team—not a distraction.

Solution

The best thing that Stefanie Krievins & Co. brought to the team was introducing the “first team” approach. The team quickly realized that the root of their inefficiencies was due to being internally focused as individuals and not putting the collective team first. With the first team mindset, it was easy to understand what needed to be accomplished and how to properly leverage member’s personalities to meet those goals. The other major win was that Mark and his colleagues were led by their Stefanie Krievins & Co. coaches to uncover the root of their inefficiencies on their own rather than an outsider coming in and pointing those out. This allowed them to really see the issues for what they were and to develop plans to resolve those and make their company better as a whole.

Results

Stefanie Krievins & Co. gave the leadership team at DDI the gift of cohesion that they wouldn’t have found otherwise. By doing the work of learning how each person on the team operates, they are now able to use the various personalities as assets instead of allowing it to hinder their effectiveness. They have crafted a vision, goals, and direction and they know how to accomplish those things together as a team. All of that came through the power of the coaching sessions that were offered by Stefanie Krievins & Co. and now the possibilities of the company are really endless. It is evident that the team has the right people in the right seats so that the whole organization can excel.
